CROESO - WELCOME

About

We're a family run tent camping site specifically for walkers and cyclists on a working farm on the outskirts of the historic market town of Machynlleth, Mid Wales. The site is located on the junction of Wales' two premier National Trails - Glyndŵr's Way and the Wales Coast Path,  half a mile to the south of Machynlleth.

Glyndŵr Campsite is the ideal place for a much needed rest after a long hike or bike ride, or to set up base and explore the stunning Dyfi Valley and Cambrian Mountains.

This is a grass site with no marked pitches, nestled in a clearing with stunning mountain views of Eryri and the Dyfi Forest.

Also available is a cosy and comfortable bothy with a double bed, wood burner and solar powered facilities.

Please note we are unable to accommodate dogs at the site.

The camping field is kept car free for your peace and safety. Adjacent car parking is available and wheelbarrows are provided for guests to unload their vehicles if needed.

The Dyfi Valley

The Dyfi Valley's distinctive lush, green landscape can be enjoyed at its best at Gwersyllfa Glyndŵr Campsite. We are located above the River Dyfi as it winds its way towards Cardigan Bay, a perfect place for tranquil get-aways whilst also offering campers easy access to the attractions that the town of Machynlleth and wider The Dyfi Valley have to offer.

Walking

Gwersyllfa Glyndŵr Campsite is at the centre of two of Wales' National Walking Trails, if you're walking The Glyndŵr Way or the Wales Coast Path you will come across us.

We're also a great base for those exploring Mid Wales' shorter circular walks and the less well known Dyfi Valley Way.

Biking

Whether it's mountain biking, cycling trails or cycle touring you enjoy, Gwersyllfa Glyndŵr is a superb pitstop. The Traws Eryri Cycle Trail begins in Machynlleth, we're at stage 3 of the Lon Las Cycle Tour.

Thanks to its landscape The Dyfi Valley now hosts some of the best mountain biking trails in the UK.
